Which Camera Should I Get?

Recommended Posts

I have had a celestron nexstar 4se telescope for about a year now, and I want to start imaging. Does anybody know of a good camera that I could get for £130 or under? Also, is there any other equipment that I will need?

Thanks,

Corkey

Hi Corkey.  I think we are going to need a bit more to go on than that but as you have an Alt Az mount I guess you mean Lunar, planetary and/or solar?

Yes, I want to take pictures of objects within the solar system.

In the region of your budget is a  ZWOASI120 (mono or colour; USB 2.0 version).  Personally I would go for the mono and an IR pass filter.  You will then benefit (maybe) from a 2x barlow.  It can be used with free software available from the inter web.
