IR cut for DSLR (modded)

I've just been thinking (dont worry, it wont become a habit.....).

When we whip the canon filter out of the 350D etc, we also remove the IR block filter as well as that which blocks Ha.

Now I popped the Baader replacement in, but does that block IR, whilst allowing Ha through?

I only ask after reading Steve's comment somewhere about IR 'splashing' around stars.

If the baader replacement is NOT an IR blocker, then what are the options for inserting an IR block filter into the typical DSLR image train? The only thing I can think of would be one which screwed onto the back of the focal reducer, or after the skylight filter on the back of an SCT.

Any thoughts anyone?

Cheers

TJ
