Skymax 102 moter focus

So having a few bits knocking about from old projects, i decided to fit this battery less servo focus drive to the little 102 Maksutov, to get the servo to mount to the side of the tube i had to mould a curved face block from epoxy resin, a bit crude but it works, giving a flat surface for the servo and a matching curve for the tube wall, at the base of the skymax focus shaft i glued a piece of tooth belt, making a pulley wheel in effect

Ay up Wallace, you've got competition in the inventor stakes, and not a bit of Wensleydale to be seen. Thats a very neat bit of work Jules. Haven't I seen scope somewhere before?

This mod works a treat, its variable speed, now i have to think if i will do similar with ED120
