SilverAstro
thanks to @DRT posting a heads-up in the AstroLounge a couple of days ago ( https://stargazerslounge.com/topic/286499-lunar-x-3rd-feb-2017/ ) I have just caught the LunarX with my little point-and-shoot on max 18x zoom here is a severe crop of the jpg straight from the camera (as a quick alert that it is in progress now) with an added arrow, will try to clean it up a bit better later. SilverAstro
If you think that is a bit pixely, you are right and I apologise ! it is an old early 'superZoom' 18x on an 8Mp 1/2.5" chip at 500mm tele35equiv. (83mm actual) 1/80sec f/4.2 ISO 100 . I am quite surprised at what it has got though ! A bit of a fiddle in GIMP with wavelets and things (think I have over-cooked it a bit !) and it is deffo there, not my imagination and his is one of the two full frames I had to work with and crop ! > Now to spend some time with an atlas and ident some of the craters
Bizibilder
You certainly have it! Good capture - and plenty of craters for you to identify!
