Synscan GOTO Power Plug Size ?

Ive got a really long cig lighter lead for my 250px Skywatcher, im thinking of making up another power lead to connect up to my battery, but wondering what the size of the plug is ?

I dont want to chop up the other lead as id like to keep it to give me the option of cig lighter should I need it. Also ill need to know which way around to wire it.

Are you sure? My Celestron is 2.1x5.5mm and all searches on Skywatcher suggest the same. I'd have thought Synta would use the same size across the board?

Either way BRUN, the correct wiring is tip/centre positive, so positive to the shorter contact on the plug in the picture you posted, double check continuity with a multi-meter if you're unsure.

This is what I attached to my dew strap and you are correct yes it is 5.5mm x2.1 I had the wrong one bookmarked please accept my apology. Here is the cigarette power adapter I bought.
