Baby Dob - Cracking Value!!!

Hi Folks

Hope that Christmas went well for you all.

I bought my 5 year old son a SkyWatcher 100mm mini Dob for Christmas. He had been on about a telescope for months. I did selflessly offer that he could use my scopes and that I would buy him an eyepiece. Both he and local government saw through this rise.....

He was delighted when he ripped open the parcel. We took it out to play after tea on Boxing Day. It was so simple that a 5 year old could use it!! And the views were engaging even with the supplied 25mm eyepiece. We had a great time.

For £100 (thank you Flo) this must be one of the best buys in astronomy. Genuinely simple to use and ultra portable. True. Some of the parts are a bit plasticy, but Feather Touch engineering for this price?? Not realistic.

I'll drop in a TV Plossl next outing and see what it can do!
