Canon 400D or 450D?

Seriously thinking about getting a DSLR soon, question is do I get the 400D already modded or the 450D unmodified and then mod at a later date? I did a little photography when I had an SLR so would like to do that again.

What do you think?

Check out the website www.camerapricebuster.co.uk which will give you the best prices in the UK. Currently £339 for the 400D and £419 for the 450D. Don't forget that the new 450D has live view which will be better even if you modify the camera later.

I thought I had missed the £50 cash back offer but it has been extended.

As you say the live view will be very useful and has probably decided it for me.
