Dark Night for once

We just dont get 'em round 'ere.

I was busily using the setup to try and grab the Soul half of the heart and soul, when I took a moment to actually consider the sky.

I dont recall seeing the Milky way as prominent ever from this location. As the kit was pretty much all in use, including all cables etc, all I could do was whack my 400D on an old tripod and set the exposures to 30 secs. Here's a stack of three of them;
