Last piece of the puzzle

Recommended Posts

I think I have just about run-out of excuses.

Means of securing flattener to scope: done.
Purchase of new FW+OAG to fit in gap from flattener to camera, and to provide enough distance to guidecam to bring it to focus: done.
Purchase of delrin rings to provide just enough extra distance between flattener & camera to achieve the 'sweet spot': done.

Now, after several back-and-forth emails to Bernard at Modern Astronomy to identify precisely the "bit" required, purchase of new front-end for my QHY5Lii camera to allow it to fit onto the aforementioned FW+AOG: done.

Big thumbs-up to Bernard for all his help and advice :thumbsup::thumbsup:.

All I need now are some clear skies at a time when I can get out there and do some imaging ... so unless someone can recommend a supplier of those, it will just be a matter of waiting for them to arrive naturally.

Clear skies ... 2017 ... I wonder which will arrive first ....

2017 will surely arrive. Like old age, it comes a day at a time.

Clear skies? Who knows? Unless one moves to them.

Best wishes for Clear Skies, and everything working right as well!
