johnfosteruk
I was out observing last night and it was lovely. So time to do a little more budget undriven imaging. However, cloud stopped play before I acquired enough frames, this is a WIP and I will be acquiring more data ASAP. 133 x 2.5s, no darks - sigma clipping in DSS and finished off in Photoshop. It's a little noisy due to only being around 5 mins of data and the star shapes aren't pretty, but the detail is there so I had to push it. Will update the thread as I acquire more. StargeezerTim
2.5 second subs! And the core is burnt out Who needs guiding... or tracking, for that matter? It is amazing what these sensors can pick up...
johnfosteruk
Thanks chaps. 1 hour ago, StargeezerTim said: It is amazing what these sensors can pick up... It was at ISO 6400 but yes it's absolutely remarkable isn't it. I think if I can get some more data I might try a layer with shorter exposure/lower ISO to get some core detail.
