Please Help!!! APT Live View Gone

Hi everyone

I really hope someone can help with this.

Using APT with 600D and I can't get anything to show in live view so I can't focus.

Any ideas what's going on please?

Firts clear night without moon in ages and this happens!

I've had the same problem before, but annoyingly I can't remember exactly what happened. I believe there are some camera settings that can stop it working, Face Detection is one.

If you can't get it working you could just disconnect from APT and focus off the liveview on the camera itself, this is what I usually do anyway.

Strange as I don't use the camera for anything other than astro so nothing has been changed.

I might have to use the camera screen as you suggest, with the motorised focusser its a bit of a faff though.

Shooting now.

Not sure if there is an actual problem or it was a combination of being way out of focus and my alignment so far off. So when I slewed to Vega... nothing.

Taking lots of short exposures and adjusting focus in between got it close enough for astrotortilla to find Vega and then I could focus properly.
