East Heavy

Hi

Getting myself a little confused (as per normal). Assuming my scope is evenly balanced and pointing towards the east of the meridian.  Should the counter weight be moved slightly towards the mount or away from the mount?  I have a avx mount

Cheers

I think it's sometimes easier to forget about direction of scope etc and just get it pointing to whatever your target is. Then just move the weight slightly to the east. Sometimes that will be towards the mount sometimes away but just forget about that and just move east which ever direction the scope is pointed.
