Nikon D3100 on SCT (Filters?)

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

First of all, thank you all for helping me decide which route i should be going to, which is now OAG on EdgeHD.

All props to Martin at FLO for helping me out with the spacers and the extra bits that i needed.

Now here comes the question.

So since i have the 8" EdgeHD scope, i'll be using the reducer, OAG which will eat up all of my back focus but now i'm worried about the light pollution.

The reason why i went for the OAG route (as tough as it might be to get grips with it) was to get exposures longer than 2 - 5 minutes but like i said i am now worried about the light pollution.

How bad should i expect light pollution play its role?

What can i do to combat this issue?

FYI, i live in Barking

Thanks in advance.
