 I am having to sell my Celestron 9.25 due to my age/health and its weight. I was going to get a C8 ota but good used are in short supply. Maybe a C6 ota but I would have to sell my 2" 82 degree eyepieces and diagonals and I do like the wide field of view. Not sure if swapping to 2" weighty eyepieces on a   Sabre 2 mount would be fiddly.

I think the C6 would be a big step back compared to the C9.25. The C8 is really light, and easy to handle, and a big step up from a 6" scope

I agree. The C8 is quite manageable and gives very satisfying views

Well I guess I already knew that but was hoping I could save some money without wishing I had got the C8. Looks like a new C8 is on the cards, just need dig down the back of the settee for a few £50 notes.
