August 30, 2016: Quick dual band look, with lots going on

Recommended Posts

Just had a quick look between clouds using the new dual-mount setup, and the three ARs that have been entertaining us the last few days are still going strong, although one is about to bow out (AR2582, I think). Having said that, they are joined in the SE by a new AR, consisting of a large patch of faculae, with a few small spots. In H-alpha, this area is teeming with activity, with a prom, plage areas, and a long filaprom. The other ARs also show up brightly. I hope to image these later today.
