mounting a 6" dob on a eq

just out of interest, if i ever wanted to have the option of mounting the ota from 6" celestron starhopper on an eq mount, how big a mount would i need. (and would it be worth it?)

i just bought a firstscope 90 refractor (not for myself unfortunately), but this has what i think is an eq3 mount. would that suffice?

or is there a set guide to scope's mount sizes?

I think the Firstscope 90 comes on a EQ2 not EQ3 mount, a 6" Newt would probably be too much if that is the case.

As your newt is F8 (ie quite long) you would need an EQ 5 ideally.

Even the EQ3 would struggle due to the extra tube length (it just 'copes' with a short 6 inch scope but even this is too wobbly for me)
