Veil orientation...

Hi all, when this darn weather eventually releases some clear skies, I want to do the veil in narrowband...

at the moment any clear sky that lasts long enough; I use to get the orientation right for my fsq106 @ f3.8 with an 8300 chip!

i know I can't get the entire complex in  but how best to frame it?

any tips?

In the attached image you can see the longest axis is horizontal, I've actually lost bits off each end, so arrange for the long axis of your sensor to be aligned that way.

It was my NP127is (660mm f/l) plus Moravian G4-16000 (16803 sensor - about 37mm square).
