Just out of interest - why do you need to shut off the air cooling fans? Is this specific to these cameras? I have an Atik 4000 that I water cool - it seems fine withe the fans running?

Cheers

Ian

Sorry missed your post. QSI fans will use higher temperature of the air and it is counteracted by the cooler water. So one is cooling the other warming at same time. When the  fans are shut off only the cooler water is circulating and cooling, so you get lower final temperature of the CCD.
