Rating - Orion SkyQuest XX12i IntelliScope Truss Dobsonian Telescope

Dear Star Gazers,  What is your take on this model Dobsonian?  How does it compare with other Dobsonians?  Anybody out there have one?  I asked earlier this week about startup eyepiece recommendations for this scope.  Thanks!

They are reputed to be pretty good scopes. Made by the same manufacturer that Skywatcher uses - Synta. So the mirrors and mirror cells are most likely the same as in the Skywatcher Flextube 12" dobsonians. What sets the Orion XX12i apart is a different design to the trusses and the Intelliscope "push to" system. The latter has a good reputation as well although it does not actually drive the scope - the owned has to do that !
