Anyone got any failed aurora pics from a plane?

Recommended Posts

This is strange request. I'm putting together a talk for my local astronomical society on my recent experience of imaging the northern lights from Iceland.

As part of the talk I'm looking at all the alternatives, including a aeroplane flight.  I've found quite a few nice examples of pictures of the aurora taken from inside a plane.  However, I suspect that these are greatly outnumbered by a vast array of blurred green smudges that will be failed attempts to image the aurora through the dirty, scratched window from a plane flying through the air at >400 mph.  The problem is that no one ever posts these failures on the web.  Can anyone help?

Thanks
