EQ6 Extension Tube

I recently bought the Skywatcher EQ6 8" extension tube to use on my AZ-EQ6GT with a longer refractor. I'm having problems tightening it all up. The extension tube moves in relation to the tripod head however tightly I turn the locking bolt from underneath. There were no instructions with the tube but I have found some on the web, and really there is only one way it can be assembled although the sequence could vary.

Has anyone any experience of this item and any suggestions?

I put bits of one of those square sponge washing up things, as mine was rotating too; it just needed something to add some frictioon between the two gloss painted surfaces.

I suspect it would still rotate a bit if I gave it some welly, but otherwise it seems fine now.

Thanks James. We've got lots of these around the place; I'll give it a go
