Recommended Posts

Hopefully these will tie up with the correct order...

C4 - Scorhill Stone Circle, situated on Gidleigh Common near the village of Gidleigh in the north east of Dartmoor.  The site dates back to the Bronze Age, it is 27 m in diameter and consists of 23 standing with another 11 fallen stones  and the largest stone is an impressive 2.25 meters.
EXIF bits, all taken at the same settings, Canon 1Dx, Canon 8-15mm Fisheye at 14mm, ISO 10,000, f4 at 30"...

C4-2 as above

C5 - as above but shot at 8mm, hence the round images...

C2 - Clapper bridges at Scorhill, Dartmoor. The first 2 on the left are over the North Teign River, the one of the right is over the Walla Brook. Possibly dating from the early 1800's, they are not easy to find on a dark night

C3 as above

C1 - Spinster's Rock, located at Shilstone Farm close to Drewsteignton. This is a Neolithic chambered tomb, possibly the best example in Devon, also known as a Quoit, Dolmen or Cromlech, Portal Grave and is a single-chamber tomb. EXIF Canon 1Dx, Canon 8-15mm fisheye at 14mm, f5, ISO 3,200 & 30".
