Whats the best overall filter for observing?

Hi there, I recently got a explore scientific UHC for Nebulas and I must say, from here in London with all the light pollution ?, it did work great on M42, could even manage to see a slight green tinge.

I also have a Baader Neodymium filter, haven't used it much yet, but it was recommended by a few shops as a good general purpose, plus the reviews were good.

Maybe if you're lucky you could find a used one of each?

Let us know what you go with ...
