I had the SolarMax-II 60 DS out again during lunch, this time with the box of fixed focal length EPs rather than the usual zoom. I wanted to test the new 14mm Delos, and the image was lovely. Lots of fine detail was visible even at this modest magnification. A few nice proms stood out from the south-western limb. A series of whorls, filaments, and plage areas studded th enorthern half of the disk. One filament in particular circled the big sunspot currently visible. There was also a nice filaprom to the north-east. The XW10 and Delos 8mm also gave great images at 40x and 50x respectively.
