February 17, 2016: Third Solar Lunchtime in as many days

Just had a great little session, with lots of people coming to have a look. The sun was putting on a nice show. AR2497 still hovered on the edge as a bright plage region, with attendant smaller proms. A fairly big, complicated prom was visible in the north-east, while a slightly smaller prom could be seen in the south-west. A long dark filament showed in the south-east, whereas a number of smaller filaments and associated plage dotted the northern hemisphere. In single stack mode there was a sunspot in the north-east, but in double stack mode that was harder to spot. Amazing to have such a run of good sessions when the weather has been so bad for so long
