You are not kidding , Rog. I thought it would turn out that I had done something daft :D

Surely I can't get two faulty mounts :D

Replacement EQ6 Pro - arrived today. Not bad considering it was not collected from me till Friday of last week. Well done Telescope House - thanks Ted for putting up with me on the phone :D

New mount seems fine - slightly stiff dec axis - but both axes do not have any binding spots.

My obs , which is being made by a local shed firm in sections and I am putting it together , has been made with the walls too high. :D At least they noticed it before delivery. It will now be next Tuesday before I can erect it. emm - wonder what else will go wrong?

Quite normal - they all do that sir.

Yep , thats what Ted from Telescope House said. At least when the scope is just about balanced if you unlock the Dec axis it does not suddenly swing on that axis.
