M45 Question

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm currently running my 1000d with 200mm lens, ISO800 subs of 45 seconds, on the Pleiades, and I'm not sure how many subs I will need to get the nebulosity, (my primary target). I don't want to  stop before I've got enough data, does anyone have any idea of how much I'll need, even if it's rough?

John

I cant say, if your using a camera lens.. But with a fast telescope you should get a fair bit out of even just an hour..

But the bottom line is: Gather as much data as you can. Dont stop before your batteries run out or the clouds come rolling in!
