Maxim DL problem

I have just installed Maxim DL 6 with a demo licence.   I got the email through with the licencing info and then copied the text of the email as per the instructions.  I started Maxim and the info came up in the licencing dialog box and all appeared to be fine.  I clicked on OK and then got an error message to say my licence has expired!  

The expiry date shown is correct as 7th February 2016 so I have no idea what is going on.  Trying to contact Diffraction Limited is frustratingly hard so I wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience and whether you found a solution. 

I fully intend to buy a full licence but after this experience I feel very reluctant to purchase anything in case that doesn't work either!

I'm using Windows 10.
