Got Advanced VX GOTO mount what next?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

After checking these forums I found the cheapest option to do some real astrophotography work is to get either HEQ5 or VX so I went for VX, I hope I made the right decision.

Now suggest me a good scope thats not too expensive but gives sharp photos. How about SW 150PDS?

Also I want to attach my camera to the mount directly to do some wide field work, how do I do that? what do i need?

Regards,

Hi

I would recommend the 130pds - it's still f5 but a little shorter so easier to guide. If you want to do unguided then a short refractor would be better or camera+lens. Outcomes for camera lenses vary. You just need a 'photo dovetail' for direct attachment of a dslr.
