Welcome dazastro,

I my parents live in Northampton - I go back there and do a lot of astronomy over Christmas, the skies are pretty good!

The 200p and EQ5 is a nice combo, lots of targets are easily visible with that scope and the mount is very steady. Get yourself a free download of the Stelarium software, it will show you the current sky for your location and time of year.
