Tele Vue Powermate 2.5x

I'm thinking of getting a Powermate 2.5x (one of the 1.25 inch fitting Powermates) and I'd like to know if it is designed to be used between the diagonal and the eyepiece (as my Ultima 2x is) or between the diagonal and the scope. Can anyone help on this ?.

I've not use my Powermate with a diagonal but it makes sense to me that it should go between the diagonal and the eyepiece. They're designed to be used as you would use a standard barlow.

I would suspect so as the 2ins powermates and big barlow do work that way.

As long as your diagonal is 1.25" it should

work either way. But the Lense end is long so be carful

if you ever insert it in the diagonal.

I use a 2 inch diagonal so impacting the mirror is not a problem but I do want to use the Powermate in the diagonal - otherwise I'm going to have to buy a 1.25 inch diagonal as well - is it likely to work OK like that ?.
