The growing pains of the Lunt 50 are well documented elsewhere on SGL - would point any potential buyers to those threads as it really is a learning curve. Worth repeating though that there are many owners (me included) who are happy with the focuser, and Lunt customer service appears to be very good for those who are not - they'll send you a replacement. However, it is the weakest link in the package, so many will upgrade to a better focuser anyway. I had other issues - with the pressure tuner for example, now fixed, but would totally agree with jabeoo's earlier post that these issues shouldn't put anyone off buying one.
