Anyone know if he's still selling these? His site and Facebook haven't been updated in a while and I got no reply from his email.

I'm just looking for a focus method for my camera lenses that won't break the bank.

if you have the time to put something like this together then to my mind it looks a close match ?  box with a gear on the end, some sort of computer control, mounting and belt drive problems would be the same.

Like the large hollow gear wheel 'direct drive' idea in the Water Lee pages.

That looks great! I'm just not very technical with this kind of stuff, so that's why I'm hoping to just buy a pre-made solution.

The SharpSky Pro possibly has more than you need, may be worth asking the seller if it will turn the focus on a camera lens.  My original suggestion tekkydave's AA Mk2 is not as complicated as the 39 page post makes it look, I seem to remember larger motors being used by some of the users.

Ohhh that looks great, cheers! I'll get in touch with them and see what they say. I've also contacted the guys at Lakeside, and while they don't do the mod themselves, they are going to send me some resources to look at.
