Hi,

I want to update an army of LX200 GPS telescopes with the latest firmware.

What is the latest, Where can i get it other than Meade and How do I do it, once I have the new patch or whatever it is?

Thanks,

Jamie

The latest firmware is 4.2g, you get that from Meade

You can also get 4.2G (capital G) from StarPatch, which fixes some bugs and adds some more options to Meade's 4.2g

You can use Meade's ASU (AutoStar Updater) which many find difficult to use, or the updater in StarPatch, which is faster and easier to use.

You will need a #507 cable to connect from your PC to the RS232 socket immediately to the left of the handbox socket.

That's not the same cable as the #505 cable that goes to the socket on the other type of Autostar handbox used on ETX's and the LX90

If you don't have a RS232 port on your PC/Laptop then you will also need a USB to Serial converter, and not every converter will work.

Don't ask which ones, I have a RS232 port

I've no connection with StarPatch.
