Counter weights for 28mm shaft?

Hi All,

wondering if anyone can help me?  I have got an ioptron CEM60 mount which came with a 9.1Kg counterweight.  I need to get a lighter counterweight so that I can run a smaller scope and get it balanced easily.  I think the supplier makes a 5Kg counter weight, but no where (that I have tried) has one in stock (6 week lead time) .  So does anyone know anywhere I can get one which would fit the shaft which is 28mm in diameter.  Hope someone know of a suitable supplier,

28mm is roughly 1 1/4 inches - you may find that a weightlifting weight (metal or plastic) would work?

Would need a way of locking the weight in place and I bet this is not as simple as it sounds as any movement will mess things up

I ended up getting a Pixapro 5kg counterweight off eBay. It was very cheap, and if it does not work on my scope shaft, I can probably find a use for it with something else. Should get it later this week

Ok, just to finish off this thread, and on the off chance that someone in the future finds themself in my position, the Pixapro 5kg counterweight arrived today and fits my bar perfectly, no way it is going to slip .

Now, where are those clear skies
