Times of year for viewing

Hi,

what time of night or year would be best for seeing M31/M42/M45 in London?

It depends on the time of the night, but assuming you do not want to get up an hour before sunrise I'd suggest the following.

M31 is in Andromeda, so from about midnight Mid August and 30 minutes earlier every week after that.

THe other two are really winter jobs. So December and January are going to be your best bets...
