Leo Triplet Shadows

Hi,

This is the Leo Triplet, 10 x 8 min subs with darks, flats and bias, taken with an unmodded Canon Eos700.

It was stacked by DSS then a stretch and GradientXterminated in Photoshop. Apart from any other problems with it, each galaxy seems to have developed its own pool of darkness to inhabit, which I haven't seen before, and was wondering if anyone could tell me the cause and how to get rid of it.

I'd try stacking again without the flats.

Looks like GradientXterminator has tried to fit the galaxies as background.

Yes, I think that's the answer, need a lighter touch with GXT, perhaps, thanks.
