Has anyone managed to get hold of Sony a7R ii

This mirror less camera seems to have some very interesting features. Including a backlit CMOS sensor, huge ISO range. Rebinning for video at least for 4K and a 120fps for standard HD (720p). This could be an interesting planetary camera and for low light video. Not sure if rebinning will be made available for standard images, that would make a great all round camera.

thats one cool camera,i like sonys ive used the a37 for about a year now and i like it,but the a7R ii is a cut far above mine  it will be interesting to see how it dos.thanks for sharing..charl..

I own and use the A7r and it is a FANTASTIC camera in my opinion with great image quality, I don't even miss my 5D mk2 and l series lenses which I sold to get this. The A7 II really does look interesting but never used one yet.

Sony have now confirmed that they will support lossless compression for their RAW format. Which is a bonus for astrophotography.

This gives the canon 6d a run for its money. Even for ISO values close to 12800 the image quality is something to be considered.
