Heq 5 damaged race area...

Hi I took apart my heq5 mount to repair wiring and take out excessive play...well I found a gouge in the RA bearing seat area.

Any ideas/comments on how it occurred?

I am some JB weld on it with my fingers crossed...

If you mean the mark at "5 o'clock" then it looks like a hole or pit in the original casting.  If the remaining 95% of the machined area is OK (which it seems to be) then simply re-assemble.

Having just stripped and relubed my heq5 pro today and found odd things in the castings I think this is the norm. Provided theres no structural cracks it will be ok. Its not as if these are high stress components, max slew is 9x sideral very sedate compared to say an engine casting
