Surge Protection

Hi All,

I just wondered if surge protection is recommended when using telescope GoTo handsets? Where I live we certainly seem to have a reasonable number of power cuts, some of which can simply be an on/off for a few seconds, some longer. I just wondered whether such electrical 'activity' can cause damage to the telescope handset and perhaps a simple plug in surge protector is advised?

A decent psu should have surge protection. If it doesn't then using a surge protector wouldn't be a bad thing.

Its a Revelation supply unit and seems pretty decent, though unsure whether it has surge protection; will probably get one anyway, they're appear to be quite reasonable price wise.
