May 12, 2015: Galaxies and Globulars

Just noticed the skies were clear, so I got out the 15x70s and had a quick scan of the skies. Picked up M13 first, followed by M3, M51, M81 and M82 in quick succession. M101 was a bit of a struggle (not the location, just the low surface brightness). M65 and M66 were fairly easy by comparison. I ended up with M92 and M5. Cannot set up the scope, as I have to get up early tomorrow, but this short session was a lot of fun.

Sometimes when you loose your 'astro mojo' a good bino session can cheer you up and remind you why you got caught in this frustrating hobby in the first place, everyone should have a nice pair of bino's
