aligning Jupiter moon RGB separately?

Recommended Posts

Hi all:

I have aligned Jupiter RGB in Registax, however Io (I believe) is still quite misaligned colourwise.  How does one align the colours on just the moon?

Thanks again (seems like as soon as I learn one thing, 10 more questions come up..lol)

Cheers

Roger

Copy the layer and then align the colours in the normal way (go into Channels, select the channel in question, select the move tool and then nudge it with the keyboard's arrow keys). Once it's aligned, use a layer mask (or just erase the Moon layer) to hide the rest of the layer except for the moon.
