Widefield artifact

Recommended Posts

I left the camera out doing another star trail last night, and looking at the data this morning there is a comet like artifact on 130 consecutive subs, starting with the first sub I took and ending 1hr 9 min later; the first, middle and last but one sub of these range is shown below. The object isn't moving at exactly sidereal rate, and appears to be in the constellation of Virgo, at one point near the star HIP60013. I can only think the artifact is related to the moon which must be somehow reflecting off the optics in the camera. What do you think?

Was imaged with a Canon 6D with a Samyang 24mm lens and using the CLS filter clip inside the camera.
