Danish amateur astronomer Rudi Bjørn Rasmussen at http://astro-forum.dk/ has made an application that makes a graph of when it gets dark where you are.

I think it's great to have a graph for the whole year that can be printed out and hanged on the wall

Description from Rudi Bjørn Rasmussen:

This program shows how day, sunrise, the twilights and night changes during the entire year.
You can set any latitude and longitude, the used time zone and if the graph starts with january or july.
Left-clicking the graph lets You alter the colors used in the graph.

Colors
The white area is daytime.
The light blue are is civil twilight, the Sun is between 0° and 6° below horizon.
The blue are is nautical twilight, the Sun is between 6° and 12° below horizon.
The dark light blue are is astronomical twilight, the Sun is between 12° and 18° below horizon.
The black ares is night, the Sun is more than 18° below the horizon.
The Full Moon is shown at the time of full moon.
