Tube rings position

Hello,

I have a small WO refractor. I have some WO tube rings on order, but am wondering if I have thought this through, as I am not sure where to position them on the OTA.

I presume the L shaped shoe needs to come off, and I do have a larger WO plate to connect this all too. But do the rings need to be in a specific position ?

Any ideas where they should positioned on the photo ?

I suppose equi-distant each side of the centre of balance when all the bits are in their normal position.

Then by positioning the clamp fpr the mount central the whole lot is balanced pretty well.

Didn't WO stop putting the L foot on at the gold GT81's ?
