Light pollution in imaging with a C8-N

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Last night I attached my 350d to my C8-N to try some prime focus imaging. All worked OK, got it to focus etc. Only problem is that I can't fit my LP filter anywhere. Without it, all my images were very very red. I don't remember it being as bad on my 120mm refractor before I had a LP filter - I'm guessing the extra aperture captures more LP?

Hi Trev,

You may already do this anyway? ...popp on a dew shield as this adds about another foot to the tube and provides good stray light protection to the secondary, improves contrast for visual stuff as well.

BTW: I'm going for the Astronomik CLS EOS clip filter for my 350D to combat LP.

cheers
