This is a great first attempt.  Is this shot with a colour or mono camera?  I had a quick look and saw that the red channel looked pretty good as regards the exposure.  The green channel was quite a bit darker and the blue was darker still.  If you could get the color balance a bit better, I think the image would be even better.  In fact, I took the liberty of doing some quick corrections and within a few minutes generated this from your image.  I hope you don't mind me having a go...  Correcting the colour balance on the planet changed the background to a bright blue, so I took that down a bit.
