Removal of Vixen Eye cups

Has anyone tried removing the twist up eye cups on Vixen NLVs, SLVs or NPLs? The reason I ask is that I have a pair of NLVs for my binoviewers and find them a bit too tight and crowded around my nose. I don't want to damage them buy doing this though. They are optically excellent and I would like to keep them, but thin them down if possible.

I own 4 NPL's and 1 NLV. Fantastic ep's. Ive never thought about removing the twist up caps. I also have never used a bino viewer so i cant offer up any suggestions. It possibly can be done without long term damage and they can be put back on, but dont quote me on that and certainly dont do it on my say so.

Ive just looked online and found nothing, so best left alone and buy a set of different EP's for the bino viewer.

no experience with removing eye cups from Vixen Ep`s,but i have done it on Maxvisions and Meades and it was easy and no damage by doing that can be caused to eye pieces.
