March 9, 2015: Nice H-alpha action during solar lunchtime

Just had the SM-II 60mm out with the BF15. Impressive array of filaments criss-crossing the disk today. The large AR is also very much in evidence, with a large sunspot, big plage area, and snake-like filaments coiling around. Two proms stood out on the north eastern limb, a series of smaller ones were visible on the west. The brightness of the image was good enough to use the 5mm SLV, which showed lovely detail in the big AR. Well worth a look
