Finder Guider Backfocus

Recommended Posts

I'm hopefully gonna have my first attempts at guiding this week, weather permitting!

I've got a SW 9x50 Finder and I plan to use a ZWO 120mc. The adaptor for the finder has just arrived today from TS. Does anyone know what back focus needed is when using this? Or is it just a case of trying different spacers til it works!

Adjust the focus of the scope at the front, and depending on how you are attaching the camera, slide it in and out to achieve focus. You can experiment in the day time on a distant object (half a mile away or so) to get the ball park focus.
